UN WHISKY PLEIN D’EMBRUN – Score: 8/10

De retour dans mon bar bernois préféré (j’ai nommé le Kornhaus Keller), j’ai pris le temps de goûter la 5ème version du Bowmore Tempest.

Bowmore Tempest est une série de 6 batch vieillis en fût de bourbon. C’est un peu le pendant des Devil’s Cask en fût de sherry.

C’est donc la version 5 du Bowmore Tempest que j’ai l’opportunité de tester ce soir.

Voilà un excellent Bowmore tel que nous l’attendons : belles notes de vanille provenant du bourbon, un iode très présent, du beurre salé, en veux-tu, en voilà, une tourbe bien intégrée, une finale douce-amère.

Belle réussite pour ce batch et curieux de découvrir les autres versions

Back in my favorite Bernese bar (named the Kornhaus Keller), I took the time to taste the 5th version of Bowmore Tempest.

Bowmore Tempest is a series of 6 batches aged in bourbon barrels. It’s a bit like the Devil’s Cask sherry cask.

So this is version 5 of the Bowmore Tempest that I have the opportunity to test this evening.

Here is an excellent Bowmore as we would expect: nice notes of vanilla from the bourbon, a very present iodine, salted butter, as much as you want, a well integrated peat, a bittersweet finish.
