Dans une série de sherry bomb, une bouteille m’intriguait fortement, celle embouteillée par le fameux embouteilleur allemand Whisky-Brühler célèbre pour ses sélections fines. Par contre, la distillerie Craigellachie est, a contrario, de piètre réputation.
Mon coeur balance donc entre ces deux opinions et hésite donc à y goûter. Mais la curiosité l’emporte et j’ouvre donc cette bouteille et me verse ce nectar aux couleurs chatoyantes.
Tout d’abord, la texture est profonde, généreuse, onctueuse donnant du relief supplémentaire à un whisky très présent et puissant. Le chocolat s’affirme haut et fort, accompagné de cerises ou de mûres.
Une note légèrement mentholée surgit rappelant que ce whisky titre tout de même à 54,1%
Ce qui surprend c’est l’exceptionnelle longueur de la finale pouvant atteindre plusieurs dizaines de minutes.
Décidément, les experts de chez Whiskyhaus ont le flair pour détecter les bons fûts. Cet embouteilleur risque de rejoindre le cercle fermé des grands embouteilleurs de légendes avec les Samaroli, Silver Seal, Jack Wieber et autres Maltman

In a series of sherry bombs, one bottle intrigued me greatly, the one bottled by the famous German bottler Whisky-Brühler famous for its fine selections. On the other hand, the Craigellachie distillery is, on the contrary, of poor reputation.
My heart therefore swings between these two opinions and therefore hesitates to taste it. But curiosity prevails and so do I open this bottle and pour myself this shimmeringly colored nectar.
First of all, the texture is deep, generous, unctuous giving additional relief to a very present and powerful whisky. Chocolate asserts itself loud and clear, accompanied by cherries or blackberries.
A slightly minty note arises reminding us that this whisky is 54.1% grade
What is surprising is the exceptional length of the final, which can reach several tens of minutes.
Decidedly, the experts at Whiskyhaus have the flair to detect the good barrels. This bottler might be soon joining the closed circle of great legendary bottlers together with Samaroli, Silver Seal, Jack Wieber and other Maltmans.
