Allez c’est reparti sur cette distillerie peu connue du grand public et produisant un whisky tout aussi obscur appelé “Stronachie”. En fait, celà doit être la seule distillerie plus connue pour ses embouteillages indépendants que pour sa production officielle.

Cette fois, c’est l’embouteilleur Murray McDavid qui nous fournit cette production datant de 1988, une époque où elle procèdera à une triple distillation de ses alcools, âgée de 28 ans.

Autant dire que c’est du lourd qui nous est présenté par Murray McDavid et pourtant la montagne accouchera d’une souris.

Pourtant tout démarre bien avec une texture très onctueuse en bouche laissant présager du bonheur. Mais la suite sera plutôt décevante. Entre les saveurs de molasse et d’agrumes, difficile de trouver une harmonie gustative. D’autant que l’alcool n’est pas le mieux intégrer nous balançant une belle dose de poivre blanc sur la langue.

La finale boisée et saturée en réglisee achèvera de nous laisser sur une note décevante.
