SORBET OF RED FRUITS IN A SMOKING ROOM – Score: 8.5/10

The House of Whisky presents to us, in its Artist collection, a Benrinnes as dark as black tea.

Aged for 11 years in a sherry cask, I am always astonished by the mysterious hue that some whiskies can acquire in such a short period.

Up until now, all the Benrinnes I’ve had the pleasure of tasting were of commendable craftsmanship. My intuition tells me that this should yet be another delightful discovery.

Indeed, the malt is truly delectable. The notes of dried fruits and wild berries blend harmoniously, supported by hints of cinnamon.

The finish will transport us to Cuban tobacco. A splendid achievement for this bottling that will delight aficionados of sherry bombs.
