DU MALT AU BEURRE SALE – Score: 4,5/10
Premier Glenturret à être goûté provenant de chez l’embouteilleur écossais de la région de Springbank, le légendaire Cadenhead.
J’ai acheté cette bouteille dans la boutique de Londres, non loin de Baker Street. Une boutique toute petite au demeurant.
Ce soir, ayant fini mon BenRiach 20 ans, il me fallait choisir une nouvelle bouteille dans ma collection pour la remplacer.
Le choix se porte donc sur ce Glenturret et le moins que l’on puisse dire est que je n’ai pas gagné au change.
Malgré ses 28 ans en fût de bourbon, la présence vanillée est quasi inexistante. Un malt plat, sans relief, relevant à peine quelques notes de céréales et une finale (plutôt persistante) de beurre salé.
Pas de quoi fouetter un chat.

The first Glenturret to be tasted from the Scottish bottler in the Springbank area, the legendary Cadenhead.
I bought this bottle in the London store not far from Baker Street. A very small shop, by the way.
Tonight, having finished my BenRiach 20 years, I had to choose a new bottle from my collection to replace it .
The choice is therefore on this Glenturret and the least we can say is that I did not gain with the change.
Despite its 28 years in bourbon casks, the vanilla presence is almost non-existent. A flat malt, without relief, barely raising some cereal notes and a finish (rather persistent) of salty butter.
Nothing to make a fuss about.
