CHOCOLAT CHOCOLAT CHOCOLAT – Score: 5,5/10
Dans mon restaurant italien préféré sur Bruxelles – La Sanza – on y déguste des Gin Tonic excellents mais on y trouve également la plus belle carte de whisky d’un restaurant.
J’y goûterai un second Michel Couvreur, le Cap à Pie.
Sur la base de “The Unique”, Michel Couvreur a renforcé le caractère du malt le tout dans un finish en fût de Xérès lui donnant ces notes particulières.
En bouche, la présence onctueuse est plaisante et laisse augurer de belles perspectives. Malheureusement, ce blend ne nous emmènera pas plus loin qu’un champ de cacao avec du chocolat noir en veux tu, en voilà.
De l’attaque à la finale, on restera sur cette même amertume parsemée ici et là de quelques notes de noisettes très légères.
Pour paraphraser mon héros Cyrano, “c’est un peu court, jeune homme….”

In my favorite Italian restaurant in Brussels – La Sanza – you can taste excellent Gin Tonic but you can also find the finest whisky menu in a brussels based restaurant.
I will taste a second Michel Couvreur, the Cap à Pie.
On the basis of “The Unique”, Michel Couvreur has reinforced the character of the malt all in a finish in sherry casks giving it these particular notes.
On the palate, the smooth presence is pleasant and portends good perspectives. Unfortunately, this blend will not take us further than a cocoa field with dark chocolate.
From the start to the finish, we will stay on the same bitterness sprinkled here and there with some very light notes of hazelnuts.
To paraphrase my hero Cyrano, “It’s a bit short, young man….”
