Je conclus cette série du côté de Bruichladdich avec ce Port Charlotte OLC:01
Port Charlotte, c’est l’une des 4 marques produites par la distillerie Bruichladdich (Bruichladdich, Lochindaal et Octomore étant les 3 autres)
Annoncé comme vieilli en fût d’Oloroso, au palais, il n’en paraîtra rien.
Le premier pas est brutal, agressif même. les 55,1% vous font sentir qu’ils sont bien présents au cas où vous en douteriez.
Ca pique la langue de partout. Si vous avez la patience d’attendre, viendront ensuite les arômes proprement dit. Tout d’abord quelques notes vineuses suivies d’un caramel beurre salé prenant graduellement la place des tannins.
La finale, plutôt longue, se maintiendra sur du tabac et toujours cet iode ultra-présent.
Un whisky très agréable, seulement terni par ce démarrage brutal.

Announced as aged in Oloroso casks, at the palate, it will not appear.
The first step is brutal, even aggressive. the 55.1% reminds you they are present,just in case you doubt it.
It stings all over the tongue. If you have the patience to wait, then the aromas themselves will come. First, a few vinous notes followed by a salted butter toffee gradually taking the place of the tannins.
The finish, rather long, will be maintained on tobacco and always this ultra-present iodine.
A very pleasant whisky, only tarnished by this brutal start.
