Teaninich est sans doute une distillerie que peu d’entre vous ont entendu parler. Pourtant, je suis quasi certains que tous en ont déjà bu.
Cette distillerie centenaire (cent-six ans pour être précis) fourni massivement le marché du blend dont le fameux Johnnie Walker Red Label.
Ici, nous sommes sur une version embouteillée par le vénérable négociant Berry Bros & Rudd qui, chose rare, est bien plus ancien que la distillerie qu’il embouteille. En effet, Berry Bros fût fondée en 1698 soit près de 120 ans avant Teaninich.
Le produit livré est sympathique, la texture est cireuse et la céréale est prédominante dans ce malt. Le pamplemousse jaune accompagne élégemment la dégustation pour nous finir avec une solide dose boisée.
Cela reste un whisky correct, sans prétention, facile à boire.

Teaninich is undoubtedly a distillery that few of you may have heard of. However, I’m almost certain that all of you have already had a sip of their product.
This century-old distillery (to be precise, one hundred and six years old) massively supplies the blended whisky market, including the famous Johnnie Walker Red Label.
Here, we have a version bottled by the venerable merchant Berry Bros & Rudd, which, in a rare twist, is even older than the distillery it bottles. Indeed, Berry Bros was founded in 1698, nearly 120 years before Teaninich.
The delivered product is pleasant, with a waxy texture, and the grain dominates in this malt. Yellow grapefruit elegantly accompanies the tasting, finishing with a solid dose of woodiness.
It remains a decent whisky, unpretentious, easy to drink.
