CIRE TERREUSE – Score: 4,5/10
Second Tormore que je goûte après le désastreux embouteillage de Cooper’s Choice. Je vais donc tenter de rester neutre et d’oublier cette catastrophe pour apprécier ce Tormore 12 ans (cette fois, directement livré par la distillerie) et donner un avis le plus objectif possible.
Le nez est agréable, plutôt fruité, doucereux. Déjà, quelques notes mentholées se font sentir.
En bouche, l’attaque est violente, l’alcool est plutôt brutal. Pour un whisky réduit à 40%, je n’ose imaginer si c’était un brut de fût.
Si vous pouvez résister plus de 5 secondes avec le whisky en bouche, vous pourrez alors y déceler quelques arômes subtils de céréales (classique), de miel, d’arachides grillées pour une finale se vautrant dans l’astringence du bois.
Décidément, Tormore et moi avons une relation disons… contrariée.

Second Tormore that I taste after the disastrous bottling from The Cooper’s Choice. I will therefore try to remain neutral and forget about this disaster in order to appreciate this 12-year-old Tormore (this time, directly delivered by the distillery) and give the most objective opinion.
The nose is pleasant, rather fruity, sweet. Already, some minty notes are being felt.
On the palate, the attack is violent, the alcohol is rather brutal. For a whisky reduced to 40%, I dare not imagine if it was a raw cask.
If you hold out for more than 5 seconds with the whisky in the mouth, you can then detect some subtle aromas of cereals (classic), honey, roasted peanuts for a finish wallowing in the astringency of wood.
Really, Tormore and I have, so far, a let’s say… difficult relationship.
