Auchroisk est une distillerie fort peu connue du grand public et appartenant au mastodonte Diageo. Sa production est d’ailleurs majoritairement destinée aux blended whiskies.
Ceci expliquant peut-être cela, Auchroisk fût fondée par Justerini & Brooks pour la production de leur produit phare : J&B.
De fait, la saveur de ce whisky s’approche d’un excellent J&B (sic) : alcool prédominant, présence intense de bois sec, d’amertume et de solvants.
Le fût de sherry apporte bien quelques notes de fruits à coques et de vieux chocolat mais rien n’y fait pour sauver le soldat Auchroisk.
80€ la bouteille, ça fait cher le J&B arrangé. A éviter !

Auchroisk is a little known distillery to the general public and belonging to the mastodon Diageo. Its production is mainly intended for blended whiskies.
As a result, Auchroisk was founded by Justerini & Brooks for the production of their flagship product: J&B.
In fact, the flavor of this whisky approaches an excellent J&B (sic): predominant alcohol, intense presence of dry wood, bitterness and solvents.
The sherry cask does add some hints of nuts and old chocolate, but nothing is done to save Private Auchroisk.
80 € a bottle, it’s an expensive arranged J&B. To be avoided !
