LEMON INCEST – Score: 6/10
Signatory Vintage regularly treats us to bottlings that we never thought we’d taste one day. Indeed, Blair Athol is not currently the most sought-after distillery, especially considering there are no official releases from this distillery.
However, what little I’ve tasted from it has never truly disappointed me. So let’s see what this re-toasted cask has to offer.
Against all expectations, citrus takes control of the situation, covering the honeyed cereal flavors that characterize this whisky throughout. Pepper delicately enhances this lovely combination, which, while not exceptional, leaves us with a pleasant memory on the palate.
A fine piece of work and good value for money for a bottle priced around €50.
