Le chocolatier Neuhaus proposait l’achat d’un échantillon de Bowmore 15 Darkest avec certaines de ses pralines. Ni une, ni deux, j’ai donc acheter cette mignonette pour pouvoir goûter ce Bowmore, tout en offrant les chocolats à ma chère et tendre.
Belle couleur que ce Bowmore Darkest, d’un bel acajou profond au reflet d’or.
Ce qui surprend, d’emblée, c’est la puissance de ce Bowmore qui, pour 43%, envoi pas mal d’alcool dans le gosier. Ca chauffe pas mal.
Ensuite, viennent les épices, le pain grillé, l’iode typique de Bowmore, se terminant par un goût de tabac humide des plus déplaisant.
La bouche est aqueuse, ce whisky manquant cruellement de consistance.
Une expérience mitigée pour ce Bowmore qui ne restera pas dans les annales de la distillerie, de mon point de vue.

Chocolatier Neuhaus offered to purchase a sample of Bowmore 15 Darkest with some of its pralines. Without hesitation, I bought this minature to be able to taste this Bowmore, while giving the chocolates to my dear one.
Beautiful color than this Bowmore Darkest, a beautiful deep mahogany with a golden reflection.
What is surprising at the outset is the potency of this Bowmore which, for 43%, sends a lot of alcohol down the throat. It does heat up big time.
Then come the spices, the toast, the typical Bowmore iodine, ending with a most unpleasant wet tobacco taste.
The palate is watery, this whisky cruelly lacking in consistency.
A mixed experience for this Bowmore that will not go down in the annals of the distillery, from my point of view.
