Royal Brackla est une distillerie fort peu connue du grand public.
Pourtant, elle fût, au milieu du XIXème siècle, tellement populaire qu’elle fut la première à recevoir la patente royale (d’où son nom).
Aérien est un mot qui convient bien au whisky de ce soir. Vieilli en fut de chêne et titrant à 43 %, ce Royal Brackla 1993 de 12 ans d’âge, embouteillé chez Signatory Vintage, s’est révélé léger, presque vaporeux en bouche.
Nous sommes indéniablement face à un whisky dans les tons floraux. La vanille est identifiable presque immédiatement, mais avec douceur, sans étouffer la note plus subtile de poire que l’on découvre, presque cachée, alors que la première gorgée s’efface sur la langue.
Un whisky dont la légèreté s’apprécie sur la durée.

Royal Brackla is a distillery little known to the general public.
However, in the middle of the 19th century, it was so popular that it was the first to receive the royal patent (hence its name).
Airy is a word that fits well tonight’s whisky. Aged in oak barrels and grading 43%, this 12 year old Royal Brackla 1993, bottled at Signatory Vintage, was light, almost vaporous on the palate.
We are undeniably facing a whisky with floral tones. The vanilla is detected almost instantly, but gently, without muffling the more subtle note of pear that we discover, hidden, as the first sip fades on the tongue.
A whisky whose lightness is appreciated over time.
