RUBBER PLANTATION – Score: 6/10

The Northland represents the standard whisky from the Worfburn distillery, delivering a product aged in barrels of… peat. Therefore, we won’t have the official precision from the brand ambassador, but the only thing we can discern is that these barrels are from one or more distilleries in Islay.

The peat is not overly prominent, to say the least, and it will take a discerning palate to sense its effects.

On the other hand, the cereal presence is notable, along with a lingering, unpleasant rubbery taste.

Caramel also makes an appearance but with subtlety, as do some hints of waxes.

The finish will be slightly woody with the persistence of rubber, which, in my opinion, marred the tasting experience of this libation.
