Reprenons le chemin de BenRiach pour une dégustation spéciale tourbe en ce soir de mai où la pluie et le soleil se batte pour notre attention.

Un BenRiach Single Cask embouteillé à 52,5% ce qui me semble un volume idéal pour déguster un whisky.

Ce BenRiach vieilli en fût de chêne vierge est d’une belle composition. Tout d’abord, sa texture huileuse est plaisante, tapissant le palais d’une belle note vanillée. La tourbe puissante s’invite ensuite sans écœuré le moins du monde.

La finale, sur le bois noble et les notes de fruits secs s’éternisent indéfiniment.

Une belle réussite de Billy Walker qui va cruellement manqué à BenRiach.

Let’s take the path to BenRiach for a special peat tasting on this May evening when the rain and the sun are fighting for our attention.

A BenRiach Single Cask bottled at 52.5% which seems to me an ideal volume to taste a whisky.

This BenRiach aged in virgin oak barrels is beautifully composed. First of all, its oily texture is pleasant, lining the palate with a lovely vanilla note. The powerful peat then comes in without disgust in the slightest.

The finish, on noble wood and hints of dried fruits go on forever.

A great success from Billy Walker who will be sorely missed in BenRiach.
