Seconde dégustation en ce samedi ensoleillé et froid en Province de Namur, chez notre ami Joel.
Suite à la première dégustation du Aultmore mi-figue, mi-raisin, je me suis rabattu sur le fameux blend produit par la société Liquid Treasure.
Un blend, semble-t-il, très porté sur le sherry et dont la réduction est portée à 45,9%
Un whisky à double face, d’abord tout doux, amenant quelques notes de caramel mou puis soudain développe sa puissance gustative avec des notes de tabac, de cuir avant l’apothéose chocolatée finissant en cacao amer.
On regrettera néanmoins sa texture un poil trop aqueuse et sa finale mi-longue.
Cela me permet néanmoins de finir sur une bonne note cette dégustation improvisée.

Second tasting on this sunny and cold Saturday in the Province of Namur, at our friend Joel’s home.
Following the first tasting of Aultmore neither fish nor fowl, I fell back on the famous blend produced by the independant bottler, Liquid Treasure.
A blend very focused on sherry, indeed, and which is reduced to 45.9%
A double-sided whiske, at first very sweet, bringing in some notes of soft caramel then suddenly develops its taste power with notes of tobacco, leather before the chocolate apotheosis ending in bitter cocoa.
However, we regret its slightly watery texture and its mid-length finish.
However, this allows me to end this improvised tasting on a good note.
