UN CLASSIQUE SANS SURPRISE – Score: 7,5/10
Toujours du côté de Bruichladdich, nous revenons dans les embouteillages de la distillerie avec cette version annuelle du whisky local et de son orge d’Islay.
Il n’a pas forcément la réputation de son pair de Campbeltown (Springbank Local Barley) mais il n’est pas désagréable. Seulement, je ne cache pas qu’il est plutôt monotone.
Alors oui, on retrouve un malt de qualité, les céréales sont bien présente, goûteuses, la vanille du fût de bourbon est sympathique, l’alcool est plus ou moins bien intégré, le tout donnant un whisky agréable à boire.
Seulement, n’en attendez pas monts et merveilles. C’est un classique, plutôt banal, rien d’exceptionnel dans les saveurs que, finalement, l’on pourrait retrouver dans un bon whisky du Speyside.
Sympa mais sans plus.

Still on the Bruichladdich side, we return to the bottling of the distillery with this annual version of the local whisky and its Islay barley.
It may not have the reputation of its peer from Campbeltown (Springbank Local Barley) but it is not that bad. But I have to say that it is rather monotonous.
So yes, we find a quality malt, the cereals are present, tasty, the vanilla of the bourbon cask is okay, the alcohol is more or less well integrated, all giving a pleasant whisky to drink.
However, do not expect to be amazed. This is a classic, rather banal, nothing exceptional in the flavors that, ultimately, one might find in a good Speyside whisky.
Nice but nothing more.
