UN WHISKY FRUCTUEUX – Score: 8/10
Une petite bouteille de 50cl à peine mais d’une intensité remarquable. C’est ce que j’ai eu l’occasion de goûter en ouvrant non pas une mais deux bouteilles de Bruichladdich 1988 Sinnsear.
La première fut chez moi au Togo, la seconde chez moi en Suisse. Que cela soit sous la chaleur des tropiques ou dans le confort douillet de mon chalet alpin, la qualité de ce breuvage ne se discute pas un seul instant.
Un vrai plaisir gustatif plein de fruits du verger (pommes vertes, poires, pêches blanches,…) saupoudrées de quelques sucre vanille.
Une tourbe inexistante et une finale d’une longueur moyenne rendant un poil frustrant la dégustation tellement on aimerait que cela dur. Un excellent cru pour Bruichladdich.

A small bottle of barely 50cl but of remarkable intensity. This is what I had the opportunity to taste when I opened not one but two bottles of Bruichladdich 1988 Sinnsear.
The first was at my home in Togo, the second at my home in Switzerland. Whether in the heat of the tropics or in the cozy comfort of my alpine chalet, the quality of this drink cannot be discussed for a single moment.
A real gustatory pleasure full of orchard fruits (green apples, pears, white peaches,…) sprinkled with some vanilla sugar.
Unpeated and a medium length finish making the tasting a bit frustrating as we would like it to be much longer. An excellent vintage for Bruichladdich.
