On sort des tourbés pour explorer une série de blends nouvelle génération proposés par le célèbre maître du mixage, j’ai nommé John Glaser et sa marque désormais célèbre, Compass Box.
Il nous propose ici un whisky de table (en français dans le texte) qui, selon le marketing bien rôdé de Glaser, serait consommable à table.
La raison étant sa saveur très portée sur le sucré.
En effet, la bouche est littéralement saturée de sucre (est-ce le bourbon ?) et des notes fruitées qu’il charrie. On passe de la poire ou pêche blanche au raisin blanc, de fines notes de vanille et une grosse dose de miel de supermarché.
Les dents piquent tellement la saveur sucrée persiste et la finale n’apaisera pas cette sensation.
Un whisky bien fait mais trop penché sur le sucre.

We come out of the peatlands to explore a series of new generation blends offered by the famous master blender, I named John Glaser and his now famous brand, Compass Box.
He offers us here a Whisky de Table (in French in the text) which, according to the efficient marketing of Glaser, would be consumable at the table.
The reason being its very sweet flavor.
Indeed, the palate is literally saturated with sugar (is it bourbon?) and the fruity notes it carries. We go from pear or white peach to white grapes, fine notes of vanilla and a big dose of cheap honey.
The teeth are so itchy due to the sweet flavor lingers and the finish will not soothe the sensation.
A well made whisky but far too sweet.
