AN INDULGENT DELIGHT – Rating: 8/10
Once again, we treat ourselves to a bottling from the Thompson Brothers, who undoubtedly possess insider knowledge of the finest distillers’ casks.
And this bottle of Glenrothes 2011, aged eleven years, tantalizes us with its elegantly bottled ebony hue, adorned with a violet artistic label.
We delight in its luscious texture, carrying waves of plum and sugar-laden grapes. Chocolate asserts itself, complemented by fresh mint, culminating in a savory meaty finish.
With this cask, Glenrothes has reaffirmed all the praise for its distilling prowess and sherry cask selections.
A whisky to be savored, especially for those enamored with sherry bombs.
