Nous sommes toujours bien accueilli chez un membre du Highlander’s Whisky Club car il y a toujours une bonne bouteille de single malt qui vous y attend.
C’est l’expérience qui me parle à chaque fois que je passe rendre visite chez l’un d’eux et qui se vérifie à chaque visite.
Cette fois, c’est à Nivelles que je me rends et mon sympathique hôte ne résiste pas au plaisir de me faire goûter au cadeau de sa fille : un Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask matured flambant neuf.
Cette toute nouvelle version livrée en 2021 par Kilchoman nous réserve bien des surprises et sa dégustation est toujours un plaisir pour moi qui suit grand fan de cette distillerie.
La bouche est mentholée (surprenant pour un whisky titrant à 47,3%) et tourbée. La fumée typique de Kilchoman est bien présente pour plus grand plaisir.. Les notes de fruits confis s’imposent pour se terminer sur le traditionnel chocolat noir apporté par le Pedro Ximenez.
Un Kilchoman encore une fois bien réussi qui ravira les amateurs du genre.

The experience speaks to me every time I visit one of them and is verified with each visit.
This time, I’m going to Nivelles and my friendly host can’t resist the pleasure of giving me a taste of his daughter’s gift: a brand new Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask matured.
This brand new version delivered in 2021 by Kilchoman has many surprises in store for us and its tasting is always a pleasure for me who is a big fan of this distillery.
The palate is minty (surprising for a whisky grading 47.3%) and peaty. The typical Kilchoman smoke is present for the greatest pleasure. The notes of candied fruit stand out to end on the traditional dark chocolate brought by the Pedro Ximenez.
Once again a successful Kilchoman that will delight fans of the genre.
