Poursuite de la tournée de Islay et un petit tour vers Bunnahabhain, une distillerie que j’affectionne particulièrement, je l’avoue.
Cette embouteillage provient du japonais Acorn, fondé par un grand amateur de whisky au pays du soleil levant nommé Seishi Tsuta.
Dans les années quatre-vingt-dix, celui-ci à fondé sa société d’embouteilllage et depuis c’est à travers le monde que ses bouteilles se vendent et notamment en Europe.
C’est la première bouteille que je déguste de cet embouteilleur et je dois dire que je suis déçu de cette première expérience.
Evidemment, le whisky n’est pas mauvais, la texture est même agréable, onctueuse et huileuse comme je l’apprécie. Seulement, la tourbe est bien trop poivrée et la finale sur le réglisse me laisse plutôt circonspect.
Sans doute les amateurs de whisky de caractère y trouveraient leur compte.

This is the first bottle I have tasted from this bottler and I must say that I am a bit disappointed with this first experience.
Obviously, the whisky is not bad, the texture is even pleasant, unctuous and oily as I appreciate it. However, the peat is far too peppery and the liquorice finish leaves me rather wary.
Undoubtedly, lovers of strong whisky will find what they are looking for.
