Cette expérimentation fut brêve chez Glendronach, Billy Walker préférant utiliser BenRiach pour ce genre d’expérience et focalisant plutôt Glendronach sur les fûts de sherry.
Nous voici donc avec ce Glendronach de douze ans d’âge fini en fût de Sauternes.
Un palais gourmand aux notes de massepain, d’huile de noix et légèrement terreux. La finale est légèrement sucrée et craiyeuse pour s’achever sur une belle note boisée.
C’est un whisky prêt à satisfaire tous les goûts (mis à part les amoureux de la tourbe). Sa facilité à boire est exceptionnel.

This experiment was short-lived at Glendronach, Billy Walker preferring to use BenRiach for this kind of experiment and focusing Glendronach on sherry casks instead.
So here we have this twelve-year-old Glendronach finished in Sauternes casks.
A gourmet palate with notes of marzipan, walnut oil and slight earthiness. The finish is slightly sweet and chalky, ending on a lovely woody note.
This is a whisky ready to satisfy all tastes (apart from peat lovers). Its drinkability is exceptional.
