ON LAISSE LE SHERRY S’EXPRIMER – Score: 8/10
Nous arrivons au terme de cette petite lignée de Glenfarclas et nous terminons avec la version 2002 10 ans d’âge sélectionnée pour le festival “The Post Still” aux Pays-Bas. Une sélection de deux fûts – #2690 et #3698 – bien évidemment ayant contenu du sherry précédemment.
Un whisky réduit à 50% d’alcool (il n’est donc pas un brut de fût) mais très agréable en bouche, on le reçoit avec délicatesse sur la langue.
Le sherry est subtile, présent, mais subtile. Il ne sature pas le palais et offre une belle palette de saveur tels que les pruneaux, les raisins noirs, le massepain, le chocolat au lait.
Très agréable comme whisky, son seul défaut est sa courte finale. Regrettable tant sa saveur est agréable. Il me rappelle un Glendronach Octarine.

LET THE SHERRY EXPRESS ITSELF – Score: 8/10
We are coming to the end of this small lineage of Glenfarclas and we finish with the 2002 10 year old version selected for the “The Post Still” festival in the Netherlands. A selection of two barrels – #2690 and #3698 – obviously having contained sherry previously.
A whisky reduced to 50% alcohol (it is therefore not a cask strength) but very pleasant on the palate, it is received with delicacy on the tongue.
The sherry is subtle, present, but subtle. It does not saturate the palate and offers a nice palette of flavors such as prunes, black grapes, marzipan, milk chocolate.
Very pleasant as a whisky, its only flaw is its short finish. Regrettable as its flavor is pleasant. It reminds me of a Glendronach Octarine.
