A DOMINICAN CIGAR – Score: 8.5/10
The Whisky Agency, a German bottler of exceptional repute, presents another exquisite offering.
This time, they bring forth a thirteen-year-old Ledaig, aged in new oak casks, boasting a robust 52.3% ABV.
Ledaig, the peated variant from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, is my personal preference between the two brands from the distillery.
This particular expression is, without a doubt, a resounding success, offering delightful notes of caramel, chocolate, and tobacco, transporting us straight to the Caribbean. The tobacco and the pervasive yet gentle smoke are reminiscent of a Dominican cigar.
A reliable choice for aficionados of smoky peat.
